LEVEL ONE
For parent and child, birth to 15 months
45 minutes
Classes facilitate parents' musical and movement play with their infants. Activities include bouncing and patting games, songs and chants that promote the absorption of tonal and rhythmical patterns, nursery rhymes, rocking songs, lullabies, and a great variety of folk and classical music. Level I classes create an aural environment for developing pitch, rhythm, and musical awareness, while fostering the child's overall development.
LEVEL TWO
For parent and child, 15 months to 3 years
45 minutes
Activities include bouncing games, rocking songs, creative movement, songs and chants to enhance child's understanding of tonal and rhythmic patterns, playing simple instruments, and focused listening. A variety of folk and classical music is used to nurture the child's growing musical sensitivities. classes allow the very young child to enjoy the rhythms and joys of music in the comfort of the parent's lap.
LEVEL THREE
For parent and child, 3 years to 4 1/2 years
45 minutes
Taught in units organized around the seasons of the year. Classes are designed for the child's growing independence and competencies in movement, language, social development, and the creative imagination. Children experience a combination of songs and chants to enhance the child's understanding of tonal and rhythmic patterns, movement games, instruments, listening, and learning activities.
LEVEL FOUR
For child only, 4 to 7 years
(parent joins in the activities the last 15 minutes)

Level four is referred to as "MUSIC MAKERS: At Home in the World". This level brings the process to fruition. Music Makers emphasizes the training of the ear, the voice, and body movement -- giving the child a solid foundation in making music together (ensemble), improvising (singing and playing their own music), and wirting and reading the language of music.
