Children love music for the pure joy of it. When nurtured in a child's early years, the rewards of a musical foundation expand to provide immeasurable results. The comfort and confidence of self-expression, the inspiration to create, the pleasure of appreciation are core building clocks for every child's healthy, holistic development. Music is a vital link for all future learning.   features the nationally acclaimed Musikgarten and Music Learning Theory for Newborn and Young Children curricula by Dr. Edwin E. Gordon.

Research has long established that there is a critical period for each of the many stages and phases of learning. Early childhood music authority Dr. Edwin E. Gordon states in the Winter, 1995 issue of Early Childhood Connection:
"From my observation and research with infants and young children, all indications are that a child will never have a higher level of music aptitude than at the moment of birth ... A child's potential to achieve in music remains throughout life where it stabilizes at the age of nine."
is taught by Ann Benson, Early Childhood Music Specialist. Ann has been teaching both children and adults for over 15 years. For your child, there is no greater pleasure than when you join in their play. The fun of sharing music with your child brings a warm and loving sense of togetherness. And by joining with other parents and children, music provides your child with a delightful introduction to the social give and take of community.

For you as a parent, what a joy to know that you can take an active part in the musical development of your child -- just like you do in his / her language development. Just think what effect it would have on your child if you waited 6 months to a year before you spoke to him / her. This is what we are unwittingly doing to our children musically. You can easily learn to facilitate your child's musical growth through all the early stages.

Research is telling us that now is the time, in these early years, to ensure your child's life long participation with and love of music. And you are his / her best teacher! Thank you for your interest in and we look forward to sharing this extraordinary experience with you and your child.
